Central Florida is seeing an influx of citizens from Puerto Rico following the devastation of Hurricane Maria. As a result, the program known as Notre Dame AmeriCorps – Apopka is seeking full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) members to serve in schools and other non-profit organizations.
Join us to bring together citizens of diverse backgrounds to serve communities in the areas of education, public safety, human needs and the environment.
Requires 35-40 hours/week. Members receive a living allowance of about $900/month, health insurance, a childcare subsidy if qualified, and at the successful completion of the contract, they earn a $2,960 scholarship to pay off school loans or go back to school.
