Popular Education Consultants returned this week to Hope to continue a Strategic Planning process for Hope Community Center. This is the second of a series of Strategic Planning workshops. Hope Community Center is a local organization which has been working for the community in Apopka for the last 40 years and has been dedicated to the empowerment of Central Florida’s immigrant and working poor communities through Education, Advocacy and Spiritual Growth. The participants, representing the organization´s BOD, staff, and community members, analyzed the current external context and the internal challenges the organization has to face in order to have a most strategic impact in the community. The workshops have been both intense and fun! Facilitators, Recca Fernandez and Isabel Vinent have done an amazing job managing to make the learning and work not only beneficial to Hope but also fun!
