Calling all parents of aspiring engineers:
Our friends with SHPE (Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers) at the University of Central Florida are hosting an event that might be perfect for your student.
On Saturday, March 22, SHPE will be presenting the SPHE JR Conference, an all day event that promotes engineering careers. Attendees will participate in a series of workshop including fun hands-on activities like a “Build-A-Plane” Competition and they will also get to network with UCF engineering students. The conference includes lunch and it is completely free.
The event will take place on UCF’s main campus from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event is geared toward students ranging from 10th graders to college seniors, however parents are also welcome. This will be be really engaging for anyone interested in an engineering or a STEM profession.
