HOPE COMMUNITY CENTER WILL PROVIDE FREE SHOES TO CHILDREN IN NEED THROUGH PAYLESS GIVES™ SHOES 4 KIDS HOLIDAY GIVING PROGRAM.

PAYLESS SHOESOURCE LOGO[Apopka, FL – December 2, 2013] — Hope CommUnity Center is pleased to announce that we have been selected as an official partner of Payless GivesTM Shoes 4 Kids, an annual giving program from Payless ShoeSource. We are among organizations representing all 50 states in the United States, as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and 11 Latin American countries. Hope CommUnity Center will distribute merchandise certificates enabling 200 children from families we serve to receive a new pair of shoes.

Hope CommUnity Center is a service learning community dedicated to the empowerment of Central Florida’s immigrant and working poor communities through education, advocacy and spiritual growth.

This is the sixth year of the Payless GivesTM Shoes 4 Kids program. Although studies show that properly fitting shoes are important for children’s health and development, a striking number of children don’t own a pair of shoes that fit. We are working to remedy that here in Florida.

By helping families who struggle to provide their children with basic essentials on a daily basis, Hope CommUnity Center, in partnering with the Payless GivesTM Shoes 4 Kids program, hopes to relieve some of the stress parents feel during the holidays and bring joy to as many children as possible.
